Sample Organisation - how do you do it?
Y'all,
My library of samples is starting to get unmanageable any ideas on I can put some order into things to make it easier to get at the sounds I want.
Cheers

Re: Sample Organisation - how do you do it?
my samples folder system is:
samples -> artist & album or trackname -> the sample as a wav & rexfile
NOT the best system but dont know if i could get it working any better if i changed it

Re: Sample Organisation - how do you do it?
dont have much of those....most of my samples comes from records, hits & loops
but i do have folders for "Claps", "Kicks" etc....but not more then maybe 10-15 samples in those
then my sample cd folders are named like this:
sample cds -> place bought.company.releasename (Loopmasters.Equipped.Music.Smokers.Reilght.Vol2)
it works for me....but i have trouble sometimes when im looking for something
might have been a good idé to make sub folders for different genres, where the samples originate from
samples - > house - > artist & album or trackname -> the sample as a wav & rexfile
samples - > dub - > artist & album or trackname -> the sample as a wav & rexfile
samples - > disco - > artist & album or trackname -> the sample as a wav & rexfile
but dont think i have the energy to go through em all hahahaha

Re: Sample Organisation - how do you do it?
yeah...atleast i try to hehehe
that way i can very quickly just throw one of the hits in...or the whole loop if thats what i want
i can also use just the "groove" of the loop and change drum hits easily

Shame on you! You don't deserve the quality products they put out. I demand you hand over the software to me
