Don't know if you'll get this on time, but just wanted to say a final farewell to you, as you embark on your journey to Australia.
Have safe travels, and drop us all a line when you have a wee moment.
Take care, and God bless,

Thanks mr guest!!
This is my last night in devon, on my way to london to play fabric tomorrow,
Then chill sunday and off monday. Moving to another country is unbelievably stressful but some how ive managed to sort it, shipped all my gear and records and sold alot of records which was sad but quite cleansing.
I still have around 1000 that i couldnt say goodbye too and there will always be more to come!!!
Also thanks to all for the support and ramblings, will be flying the Evolution flag out in oz.
The Reload album has had to be put on hold for the last couple of months but as soon as my gear gets there ill be back on it. + a new Troubleman 12"
to come soon.
Anyway back to the final last minute packing.
:D

The very best of luck to you in OZ Mark. Look forward to your next Reload LP and your future entries to the Reload Online challanges

Silly question as always from darlo, this goes to you as well mista...

How you gonna get round :
A The different Plugs
B The Voltages

with your gear in your new found homes.

Well, I hope Mr. Mark doesn't mind too much if I answser your question on his behalf, as I've been lucky enough to have lived in both continents:

all that's needed in Oz is just a straight forward converter for the plugs, as it's the same voltage as the UK;

BUT

for the states, you need to get a converter, as the power over there is half of what it is in the UK, and their plugs have to be changed too, which is a nightmare, but can (and has been) done; in the case of my little boogie box I took over with me. It can get quite pricey, but if needs must....

Looking forward to the new Reload album as well :D .

Yes all the best Mark, hope they treat you right - don't take any nonsense from the Ozzies and you should get on fine.

If you get a chance to visit the NSW coast at some stage, make sure you check out my brother James Naylor who DJs every Friday and Saturday at the Beachouse in Port Macquarie with his mix partner Ollie Brooke. He mixes on a deep, soulful, jazzy house tip (when he isn't having to play R&B requests for the 18th birthday parties) and they have also started to experiment with live percussion and guitar over the top of the beats from a couple of friends of theirs. Pretty radical stuff for that part of the world but it's going down well!

It sounds to me like after a slow start, the place is starting to get a rep in that area (which is a bit of a musical desert) and I'm sure they would be delighted if you were able to stop by and lay down a few tunes - it's all on CD of course which I guess is the norm outside of Sydney and Melbourne these days.

Oh and make sure Triple J know you're out there - they're trying really hard to get a dance music culture going and I'm sure they'd be delighted to have you on their house music show. Both James and Ollie have had mixes played on the air already - someone of your stature will probably be offered their own show!

Having 'bumped' this thread purely through a desire to make a clean sweep of new messages in all categories, I'd just like wish Mark Pritchard a happy second anniversary of his move Down Under.

Look, somebody has to fill the void left by our Lord & Mista....
