looks like Tom is remixing the Verve's "Love Is Noise" track on the CD version of their next single "Rather Be". Here is a pre-release listing on ebay....

Just bought the whole album on itunes. Listening to it reminded me that there really hasn't been too much progression in four to the floor electronic dance music in the last 20 years. The new mixes aren't too shabby, but the originals still sound better than ever.

The Forge mix is also on iTunes now (and it's unmixed), although if you want to buy the whole album you've got to pony up nearly 30 quid! What's that about?
Kinetic is a great tune - I don't know how I missed it first time around. I didn't even realise that Orbital's Frenetic was based on it!
I'll get me coat...

I didn't know that either Chuck - but it does help to explain why Frenetic just sounded like an Orbital track!
Thanks for enlightening me and also to Steve for the remix goodness

you're very welcome, and try and check out the Apollo LP, Disco....it's brilliant!

Global Communication appear twice on the second one:

I'm getting those wires crossed again... :( I knew they were on one of'em!

while on Apollo, may I also, absolutely without question recommend this:

I think it's the finest moment from R&S/Apollo, and Maarten is an absolutely lovely fellow too.

all in all, just amasing music from an amasing time.

I bought those Apollo mixes when they came out - it was indeed a very good time for music. Quite possible the most exciting for me, which goes against most of my mates who think the '70s were the best.

I kind of go through spells, as to which 'era' was most influential with modern music.
Fifteen years ago, I used to think right there and then was the dogz bollacks for all things musicality, and upon reflection, it is easy to point the love at that particular time, as the music coming out back then, the electronic music, was just all new and so, so fresh, just every-other record was doing something new, or just doing what had already passed, but with even more v-v-voom!!
I remember a mate bringing back from a weekend down to London, a tape recorded off Kiss FM, and the music on that cassette was absolutely incredible; techno, acid, you name it!
It was just a brilliant time!
...when I say techno, I mean techno from Belgium/western eu!

Now, fast fwd to the present day...I'm more and more loving music from the 50's, 60's & 70's.
I think as you get older, your tastes change/mature/calm down, and you lose that thirst you once had, cause you're so busy with all the other shidt life throws at you on a daily bases...your priorities change, I guess!

I think we're dead, dead lucky in a way, cause there's Tom Midi running around the globe this year, pushing his dedication to that summer of love back in '88, and he's dead right! I used to be really pissed I missed what all the fuss was about coming from my old'folks and all those who made it through (in one piece) the 60's. I would have loved to have been a part of that movement. I think the whole thing back then was amasing.
But you know what, we got our '88, and that also was a huge milestone, not just for the fact that amasing/crazy music came out, but that whole era has left another entire generation feeling they themselves made it through something quite remarkable, and special too.
I, just like my 60's pals done way too many things I shouldn't have (in the name of cultural revolution), but that whole time has left it's mark on me forever and ever, and I love loking back on all those days and just loving every second of it.

Viva la acid house!!

the Orange Lights remixes are available digitally on http://www.djdownload.com although a little pricey in my opinion.

Received the UK 2 Track cd of Rather Be with the Love Is Noise (Tom Middleton Mix) 7.23
Not bad (but I like the original track, anyway)...
