Take Me With You (Vocal Version)

Post by lifetracks » Fri 06 Jun, 2008 9:59 pm

Hey All,

I'm in the States and cannot find the vocal version of Tom's classic anywhere??

Can someone please, please help me out by sending me the mp3?

Also - the radio edit would be nice too =)

Most appreciated fellow Jedi!

Cheers,

R

Hey,

Thanks for the reply!

I use a MAC and soulseek messes up my computer for some reason, so I cant DL that again.

I know sharing files is bad (gasp) and Tom, I know you check here -

I own all your releases physically - and if this track was available on Itunes or Beatport I'd buy it no questions asked.

Its not - so can someone please help a Middleton junkie get his fix? I've only gotten to hear the original and a short clip of the vocal mix.

Send me a PM =) And if it comes from you Tom, I'd be chuffed to bits as you Brits say!

eh bud, i've got an extra CD single of it (commercial pressing, not a promo) w/ the Radio Vocal Mix, Instrumental Club Mix and Instrumental Radio Edit on there. Happy to send it your way - $9 +shipping.

ooof
that vocal version is ROUGH. Can't stand it.

I get the feeling that the "cosmos album" that was pending release for 4 years never made it to pressing because the label heard that version of the song
and put the kibosh on the release....

when I first heard take me with you on some bbc radio mix of tom's (intermixed at the end with Madonna's "everybody"), I thought Tom had finally put out
the track that was gonna put him in the Pop charts I couldn't stop listening to it(2001?), and then when it FINALLY (it really seemed like forever) ended up with a "legit"
release it had that HORRIBLEvocal over the top. What was he thinking?

My two cents...

...it was Deep Dish all over again....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$......... :?

I actually am not a fan of Cosmos stuff in general. You can't blame someone for wanting to make a few bobb, but you can if it's guff!! If you wanna go commercial, then do it right; like Madonna actually....

It's all about the Karma, you know.:D

Thank God for the Amba album :?

What Amba album Steve?
Surely you mean Tom Middleton's Lifetracks.

Nice to see you, Mr. Shoes.....been a while!

"Tom Middleton's, Lifetracks"....is that what they're calling it these days? :D

Either way, it's a beautifull, fresh, sonic exploration of pure emotion in sound.......(or, just a majority bunch of very average/old tracks flung together to get poeple of his case)!

The decision, as always....is yours

PS. Astral Projection, Moonbathing & Larynx are incredible - the rest.........?
Credit, where credit is always due.

i am a fan of sea of glass as well
and shinkansen

(seems like the majority of "excursions 1" would have been a "Cosmos" release, no?)

would have liked to see "aural sedative", "hally Lullaby" and Black Mountains on lifetracks though,
make it a complete compiling of the Amba tracks...

Totally with you on Shinkansen, Sea Of Glass & Black Mountain.
The other three I mentioned are just my own particular fave's.

That's a brilliant idea, Mr. Hayhook. To have all those Amba (R.I.P) tracks on one, freshly mastered lp would have just been, the balls!
That's all he had to do; just those tracks and a couple of new one's -even Larynx on there, and VOILA! One Amba album; better tunes, loads of happy Jedi fans, and an all round pleasure for eveyone :D

I had to laugh when I read some of the reviews.....if only they knew!
:?

PS. Please, Lord, if you're listening, please let the new Reload lp be amasing :?

I really like the vocal version! But there you go.

Which made me think, what are the chances of the "missing album" getting a download-only release? You know, for the fans?

I know I've got £10 set aside should the day ever come...

I have to agree with you in that i'd love to hear the Cosmos album; it must exist out there somewhere?!?
Having said that, i suspect there'd be a lot of crossover with Lifetracks. In fact, was it going to be called Lifetracks, or did i dream that?
All i know is that in a radio interview he said Take Me With You was on it (but not which version...) I can't believe that Shinkansen, Beginning of the Middle and Working Class Heroine weren't on it aswell.
Somebody out there knows! I think we should be told!!
To be honest, lets face it, we'll never hear it now, but it would end 4 years of wondering just to see a track listing.
Please?

A tracklist at least, yes please!

And is it 4 years. Ruddy hell. All I can remember is that the record company deemed it before/after it's time?
