Future Music
Eons ago, if I remember rightly Tom and Mark were in Future Music magazine talking about production and there was a CD on the cover with Link - Arcadian as one of the featured tracks.
Anyone got it or remember anything about it?
I can vaguely remember either Mark or Tom going on about this reverb unit they had used quite a lot on the Global Communication stuff. What was it?
Cheers
Ian

It was the alesis quadraverb, CHORUS REVERB setting edited abit. Aphex twin also used it heavily on his first album for R&s.
The se70 had a wicked pitch shift that you could get detroit Juan Atkins ocean to ocean effects + you could midi control it and automate it via computer. This is how we did the flangey techno bit in the deep.
If you modulate a long warm reverb via Chorus, flanger or vibrato then you can get a lush wobbly detuned ambience. Apparently Vangelis used to use a Ursa Major Stargate Reverb sent to a electric misstress(electro Harmonics) pedal for his Bladerunner era!!! You can here it on the piano sounds.
Oh dear ive just gone abit Train spotter, on a funnier note in oz not only do i have to deal with people on coke asking for faster music, last night i was also attacked by a mosquito, I have to say what is the point in those bloody things, itches like f@#k. My arms swells up, they definately like my pale white skin and devonshire blood type. My gear turns up in a week!! Cant wait
so i can get on with the Reload album.
