If you're in Paris on April 28, you can come to
Café Chéri(e)
44, boulevard de la villette
Metro : Belleville
between 10pm and 2am
I will DJ with a friend
He's gonna play some electro funk stuff while I'm gonna play only tracks done by Mark & Tom (Harmonic 33, Global Communication, Troubleman, Cosmos...)
The entrance is free
DJs : PRESTON SNOOP (that's me) + BLOWZ (that's my friend)
This will be my 5th gig in a bar and club.

Sounds absolutely wikkid.
Only problem is - I'm kind'a in Ireland.
I was thinking on doing something like this myself for a long, long time, but just never got round to it.
I wish you good luck on your night though, and any chance of a possible mp3 of the night ??
That would be awsome, or even just a tracklist to see the shape of the evening.
All the best

Good luck with that - make sure you grow a big pointy beard so that people may actually think you are tom...er, maybe not. t'was a silly idea.
If you could record the set though that would be cool?
All the best.

I'm not sure I could record the set, but I will give you what tracks I played during this night.

Excellent.
I just would love to hear what the set would have been like, but life goes on.
A tracklist would be pretty cool too.
All the best.

That'd be great - will be interesting to see what tracks mix well with others.

I'm more of a selector than a good mixer.
That's the problem with me, I love too much the tracks, I play them mostly in full and I don't pitch at all.

I know how you feel about this.
I've often thought about just being able to chill in a kool klub (preferably), and hear Global Communication rekkids all night long. Like you, I wouldn't give a root'n-toot'n, as to beat or pitch mixing, just to sit for a few hours and listen to some of their music on a REALLY big system.
I take me hat off to you for pulling the finger out and putting this together. The whole of Paris BETTER turn out for this one or there will be all sorts to be said in the morning

.
I'm just thinking, as far as I know, this may be the first time this has ever been done.
Well done !

I think we're all agreed on that!
It's a real shame that I missed any of their live stuff as I bet it was amazing to hear such fine quality music, but loud!

Wow, wish I could be there for this - it sounds 'formidable' and I hope it goes OK. Us Uk-based listers will have to buy you a Eurostar ticket and arrange for you to do it again over here some time!

Ahh !
Ok, I see where you're coming from. I have to admit though, that even though the tunes you played were indeed all by Mark or Tom, I was under the impression it was going to be a more laid back thingy, and that it would have been all the old Globals/Reload/Link etc rekkids that would have been choice for the evening.
Still, good on'ya for keeping it between the two rascels.

Technically, I needed to play the tracks mostly in 12"
But in another time, I will play other tracks by Tom & Mark.
Stay tuned !
