African Pirates from the 'Inna Space' album get's a rather good Afrobeat style rework from Mark Pritchard under his Troubleman guise, sure to be a winner on the dancefloor with it's live instrumental Afrobeat, Tony Allen style doubled up drumming over a bassline that reminds me of 'Oneness of Jujus' classic 'African Rhythms', completed with a nice Farsifa organ line and some good drum edits towards the end, it's a winner.
Up and coming Leeds producer JB73 contributes a subtley jazzy hand clap led track with a big synthy line through it, lots of laid back percussion and a touch of the funk.
The whole thing is cut on red yellow and green coloured vinyl, it's highly limited to 750 copies only too.
WAP209 (12" PICTURE DISC VINYL DISC).
an excellent description, sounds great, plus it comes in at 115 bpm too which fills a hole for me.
i think i'll buy one.
thanks Mr Meecham
