News flash : Fabric 26 Global Communication mix CD

Postby Tom » Sat 26 Nov, 2005 10:42 pm

Mark and I have crafted our first mix comp together. Created on two sides of the planet and blended in hyperspace...Was mastered a few days ago..due Jan 06..and the test CD sounds top. Marks turned in an amazing next level selection of hip-rap-sci-funk-future-soul ending in a clever tempo gear change that allowed me to move up into a 127bpm deep-elechno-jazz-house, vintage Balil and a brand new AMBA tune to wind things down...
Check fabriclondon.com for news on the release...

Harmonic 313

Postby mark p » Mon 28 Nov, 2005 1:13 pm

Its not a typo, Im doing Loads of new Harmonic Things at the moment, some solo some that dave and i worked on. The 313 project is a solo ep planned for next year, basically detroit inspired Hiphop.
There is a solo Harmonic 33 Hip hop ep and a joint Harmonic 33 ep (titled The age of reliability) Both on a similar vibe to the first 2 eps. + a 12"
with mcm. Although Dave is living in Devon still and possibly moving to Reo!!
we will still be doing things together from time to time, Im trying to get him out here(Australia) in Jan or Feb.
Dave is currently writing a rock pop album!! and recording and mixing loads of stuff for farout Records, he also mixed the new 7" series which are sounding cool especially the antonio adolfo and azimuth ones.
He is also working on a album with Arthur Verocai!!

Just to Clarify, There are now many strains of the Harmonic 33 vibe.
There will be eps which will be more on a indie instrumental hip hop tip.
The Film/radio and tv Library sounding albums for warp.
Harmonic 313 for detroit city inspired Hiphop.
+ 12" with Mc's hopefully.

all this stuff coming out on 12"
but no record player to play it on
(and no room in my NY apt. to put one...)

will this all be compiled to CD at some point?
(along with the first 3 harmonic 33 tracks that were b-sides to mojo woman - diodes, planet earth, the mole, and your return of the returner 12"? and in the beat/subplot...)

I would so love to hear this stuff.

wow, what the hell is that supposed to be.

mark/tom, i assume fabris use the same artist for all their covers, good to see them evolving, how much input did you have?

I like the metal tins they use from the marketing perspective, for such a large series they are easily identifiable, but damn they are a hassle to use!

lol, yes, Mr. walker, I asked the same question too, but was afraid of being square, in asking and not knowing!

what is it exactly ?
