i REALLY like the track from about the 4:10 mark...but then it ends....that part is to short in my book :D
love the melody you bring in, it sorta lifts the 303 to a better level aswell i think

productionwise: there are someplaces where the kick sorta almost gets squashed away...is that intentional?
and in the first part of the track i feel like the snare sometimes is a bit to loud
other then that it sounds just fine

nice to hear some new music stuff on ReloadOnline again...been a few years since the last time

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the squelching of the kickdrum and the snares being too loud, (as well as all the static) were all my idea.

And the melody at the end being too short is on purpose as well, I don't even really start tweaking the 303 until that kicks in. I love doing tracks where it dies just as you get to the good bit. Guess I'm just weird that way. :)

Thanks very much, I appreciate it. Does that mean you were dancing? Because that would be great!

Hi, Upaka.

I really enjoyed your track.
I thought the snare coming only sparsely in & out was a nice touch and the acid line was pretty cool too. what do you use for your 303?
I also thought the break was really nicely thought out and like the others, I really like the little melody line that comes in about the 4:10 mark.
My only gripe with the track was the chords. I hope you don't mind.
They were just a little too ordinary for my taste. I have this thing now that if you're gonna use chords, then they have to be either really emotional & deep or the actual sound used to create them really has to blow me away. I'm sorry again, man, I just have a real hair up my ass with chords right now.
There's so many people out there making music, and 99% of them are using (in my shiddy opinion) really standard chords.
I love chords and I like them to be really nice.

All individual taste off course, but that's mine. I hope I don't offend you big'fella.

Other than that, your track is the best thing I've heard on here for a long time - right up my alley.

Well done.

Upaka,

Nice track it reminded me of a Reload track(soaring I think) nice Detroit sound.

As you can see this thread is getting a bit messy.. hence new forum one track per topic.... *hint* Ben

Thanks Steve I really appreciate it. What do I use for my 303? Heh, I'm afraid I cheat and use an actual 303. It's the one in the picture I use as my avatar.

As for the chords, no offense taken. You're right, they're really simple, only two sharp notes. In my defense, I only wrote them in to complement the melody that comes in towards the end. If I'd used big deep chords it would have been a bit overwhelmed, and the melody was my favorite part... Or maybe I was just lazy that day? Hmmm, I can't remember.

But don't get me wrong, big deep chords are my nemesis, I love them so. I'll see if I can find a track with some juicier chords for you. It shouldn't be too hard. Or, maybe I'll put some on my remix of Chuck's track. :) That is, if Chuck is actually going to let us remix him.

Sorry to hear about the Job. Do you have anything else lined up? (You haven't been working for The Pirate Bay have you? )

As for the new forum How about "Song/Track Showcase" or something. Also can we have it only available to logged in users like the archive forum.

Cheers
